I’ve been saying this for years. Keep Calm and Love Science has turned into the new religion. People unquestioningly believe whatever information is put out there by “Science”. And if you don’t immediately accept the findings at face value because you have questions that haven’t been answered, you are labelled in a very negative way. This guy pictured here, Bill Nye, is one of the biggest perpetrators of this with is settled statements on things that most certainly are not settled. Bottom line, don’t blindly accept what you’re told. Science is an ever evolving discipline which strives to understand existence and man’s place in it. It is constantly being updated as new information is discovered. What is held as true today may be seen as “How could they be that ignorant?” in the future.
This Hawking fella seemed to have enjoyed the human race with his predictions on life. When he finally accepted that the universe is actually expanding thus must’ve had an origin, he leaned somewhat toward believing in the theory of “creation”. And if he truly believed in it, he would also accept the fact that the Creator created the humans for an ultimate reason ~ and hopefully not to destroy them, but to use the 90% of our mental capabilities He knew He gave us for our own survival.
13| 2017: Best of Journalism | What exactly is the scientific method and who do so many people get it wrong? _______ Claims that the “the Love Science isn’t settled” with regard to climate change are symptomatic of a large body of ignorance about how Keep Calm works. So what is the scientific method, and why do so many people, sometimes including those trained in Science, get it so wrong? The first thing to understand is that there is no one method in Science, no one way of doing things. This is intimately connected with how we reason in general. /- Peter Ellerton
