Christian Heartbeat sit and look out your window, and you see other people, and a thought runs through your mind. No one knows what my life is like. No one knows what goes on inside me. You feel alone. If you entertain that thought, self-pity sets in, no one cares . Even if you have close relationships with friends and family, sometimes in moments of quiet, of solitude, we can feel isolated in the world. And the truth is, we are.
We were created by God and for God, in his image. There are places inside of us that only He can reach. As good as life can be at times, there’s nowhere as good as closeness to God, because he knows us. He knows that sometimes you don’t enjoy being around people in your life that don’t always “get” you. He knows that some days you may not talk to anyone at all and you feel forgotten. He sees you. And he loves you.
She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now the One who sees me.”
